How to Add Your Personal Website to Your Guru Account

If you are a freelancer who spends a lot of time looking for jobs online, which you can do from wherever you are for people on the other side of the globe, you probably use Guru for work. One way to get more jobs is to add your personal website or blogsite to your Guru page. This means your potential clients can get a look at your written work, designs, and other samples of work in addition to your Guru profile. Displaying your website’s URL to your Guru page is simple, and the benefits you reap from doing it just may surprise you!

    Go to the Guru website. Open your browser of choice, type in on the address bar, and hit Enter.

    Log into your account. Once the Guru main page is up in front of you, enter your email address and password into the text fields, and click on the login button to access your account.

    Go to Profile Settings. Once your account page loads up, click on your name, which is on the top right section of the screen. A drop-down menu should then appear. Go through the list until you see the option that says “Edit profile.” Click on it to open up your Profile Settings.

    Find “About. On the right side of the Profile Settings page is a list of different setting options. Scan the list until you see “About,” and click on it.

    Enter your website’s URL. Once you have clicked on “About,” the settings to the right of the screen will change. Click on the second option, which is “Website.” Click inside the box, and type in the URL to your site.
    • You can also open your website in another tab, copy its URL, and paste it into this box.

    Save your website’s URL. For your website’s URL to appear on your Guru profile, click on the green “Save” button at the bottom of the screen.
