How to Apply 1950s Style Eye Makeup

The 1950s was a glamorous decade with classic stars like Elizabeth Taylor, Audrey Hepburn, and Marilyn Monroe. The makeup of the time was all about looking exotic, not natural. This look is great for costumes, but I'll also describe a more youthful, modern twist.

Tips

  • It sounds weird, but it will really look better if you smile.
  • For a modern twist, skip the grey eyeshadow. This gives it a less smoky, more wearable look. Then use an edgy lip color, like bright pink or orange.
