Method 1
Guest Room

    Have a room arranged specially for her to spend her nights in your home. If that is possible, she (and you) will be much more comfortable.

    Clean the room very well. Dust under the beds, carpets, behind the furniture and if you want remove every single decoration and dust it! You don't want your grandmother to always be looking at her carpets and beds for dust or spider webs, do you?

    If there is any furniture, remove it off the floor and sweep, mop, or scrub the bare floor so that it sparkles. If you have carpets, try using a vacuum cleaner.
    • Remember, if the floor is tiled then use a mop and broom to sweep and clean the floor.
    • If it is a concrete ground, wood floor or linoleum, then you can use broom to sweep and brush to scrub the floor clean.

    Take down the curtains in the room and put them for washing if the need it. If they are torn then stitch it up or buy a new set of curtains. Clean blinds or nets if applicable.

    Wash the sofas, armchairs, bed mattresses and keep them out to dry. Do not dry furniture out doors if it will get dirtier in the street.
