How to Awaken a Monster in Summoner's War

When you've amassed quite a few monsters in Summoner's War, and you're looking for a way to awaken them to make them stronger, try the suggestions here to do just that.

Things You'll Need

  • A monster to awaken
  • Lots of energy
  • A good team with good runes

Clear Kabir Ruins. If you have not finished all seven levels in Normal Mode in Kabir Ruins, then Cairos Dungeon will not be open to you, which, as you will find out, is a necessity.
  2. Image titled Screenshot_2016 08 01 17 23 01.png
    Pick a monster to awaken.
  3. Image titled Screenshot_2016 08 01 17 24 01.png
Enter Cairos Dungeon. You can do this by tapping on the logo for it once.
  4. Image titled Screenshot_2016 08 01 17 24 19.png
Scroll down at the list of dungeons. Keep clicking until you find the certain Hall of Element/Magic you need to gain more essences.
    • The Hall of Elements all open on certain days only. For example, on a Monday, you cannot go hunting for wind essences, as the only Element Hall that's open on Monday is the Dark Hall.

Tap. When you find the dungeon that you want to go through, tap on the icon for it once. This will bring the preparation screen, where you can prepare your team, look at the boss's stats, or even bring a friend's rep with you.

Tap the "Start Battle" button. Ensure that you're ready first.
  7. 7
Clear the floor. Once you defeat the boss of that floor, you will be rewarded with essences.
  8. 8
Repeat the prior step until you have enough essences to awaken that monster.
  9. 9
Go back to the monster you wish to awaken. Tap the awaken tab and hit the "Awaken" button in the bottom right corner of the screen. You will get a pop-up that says "Your monster will undergo a unique transformation. Are you sure you want to awaken?" This is to prevent players who accidentally tap the Awaken button from awakening the wrong monster. Hit Yes if it's the right monster.
  10. 10
Watch the cutscene where your monster awakens. At the end of it, it should show your newly awakened monster and its awakened name at the bottom.
  11. 11
Finished. You have now awakened your monster!

  • For your first monster to awaken, it would be best to pick one that's naturally a few stars, maybe about three stars at most. Monsters that are naturally four or more stars require many more essences to awaken.
  • Memorize the days that certain elemental dungeons open. You can do so by either creating a chart that says, "Monday - Dark, Tuesday - Fire, etc.", or throw each day a dungeon is open and the element of said dungeon into a sentence. For example: "On Wednesday my mother bought a new water bottle." Or, "When I woke up this Sunday morning a light was shining in my face."
  • Occasionally, Com2Us (the creator of Summoner's War) will host an event on the weekends where all the Elemental Halls are open. Use these to your advantage to get essences a lot faster than you'd usually get them.
  • Keep in mind you won't always get essences. Sometimes, you will get things like Unknown Scrolls, or, very rarely, Summoning Stones or Mystical Scrolls.

  • In all of the Halls, Floors B1 through B3 are the easiest, but it gets steadily harder, starting with B4. If you want to try to go through B4 and up, be sure to have a good team with good runes.
  • The monsters that you have to fight in the Hall of Dark all reflect damage back at you when you attack them. When this happens, bring an attack monster that can kill the monsters in one hit, or bring a healer to heal your team when their HP is low enough.
  • Floors B6 and up will drain your energy fast, so try and have a lot energy when you want to go for multiple rounds in B6 and up, or just fight in these floors once or twice and let your energy recharge.
  • The Guardian boss in the Hall of Fire has what's known as a Bomb Tower next to it. When the Bomb Tower's turn to attack comes, it straps a bomb onto random team members that will explode and cause some serious damage in three turns that, if the team member is unfortunate enough to have low HP caused by their base HP or bad runes, could instantly kill them.
