Vases for flowers, plants and artificial floral displays are a wonderful decorative addition to the home. Plain vases can be a bit dull though, so it's nice to know that there are some very simple ways to improve their look and help add to the ambiance of your indoor décor.

Method 1
Decorating a plain vase with a mirror

    1
Purchase broken mirror pieces from a craft or hardware store. You could also use broken mirror pieces that you might have at home but they need to be small pieces and not too sharp. Mirror pieces from the craft store will be in a safe mosaic form, already smoothed down for you.

    2
Paste the small mirror pieces onto the vase. Use a glue gun or super glue to add the pieces to the vase. Use any pattern or random approach as wished. Allow to fully dry.
    • Keep the mirror pieces as flat as possible, don't have any jagged edges sticking out from the vase.

Cut the tape into pieces. Here you have several choices, such as:
    • Cut into squares for a mosaic tape appearance.
    • Cut into tape lengths for making rows or lengths on the vase.
    • Cut into shapes, such as circles or stars, for sticking on the vase.

Remove the backing from the tape. Adhere to the clean vase, taking care to stick to a pattern formation if following one. Otherwise, use a random mosaic style.
