How to Do Hindu Pushups

A Hindu push up is pretty interesting. They are more than a shoulder workout. They strengthen your chest, back, arms, and legs. Hindu push ups give you better stamina and flexibility. Here's how you do one.

Steps

    Start how you start a regular push up, but with your feet wider than your shoulders.

    Move your hands back towards your feet, so that your butt is up in the air.

    Arms and legs should be straight, and you should be looking through your legs. From a distance, you will look like an upside down "V"

    Bend your elbows so your body comes forward, and your hips go down towards the ground.

    Before your head goes all the way down, bend your spine so you are looking up at the sky.

    Straighten your arms.

    Breathe out as you look up.

    With your arms still straight, return to the original position.

    Do multiples of these to get a good workout.

Tips

  • Be sure to stretch a little before doing a lot of these.
  • Keep water near- these can get tiring!
