Exams are often a time of stress and feeling down. Even the best student - the ones with 4.0 GPA's and top grades - feel it. Know you're not alone. Know that there are millions of other high schoolers and college kids who feel exactly the same way. Here's some steps to make you feel more positive about your exams.

Method 1
Breaking the Mental Barriers

    Don't constantly tell yourself that you can't. You can. First, you need to mentally tell yourself that you're smart, and can do it. Don't tell yourself that you will get F's, and are a failure.

    Keep track of when your exams are going to occur. When your teacher announces the dates, write them down. Keeping organized is very important, and can relieve a lot of stress.

    Make an action plan. How many days are you allotting a chapter? How many weeks do you want to study? Write it all down so it is easier to follow.

Studying for Tests

    Aim to be happy. Contrary to popular belief, you can be happy before your exams. You need to allot your time for each subject. Always study before going out with friends or on dates.

    Turn off your phone or anything that will distract you while studying. If your friend is texting you about hanging out, tell them you'll talk to them about it later.

    Study for the amount of time allotted. Only study during that time. If you play games on your computer, listen to distracting music, or watch TV, you'll be constantly distracted. You'll be much happier later on when you have free time instead of sneaking it in while studying.

    Hang loose for a bit. Once you're done studying, it's okay to have fun and take breaks.

Exam Day
