How to Make a Butterfinger Dessert



Graham crackers, pudding and Butterfinger candy bars are used to whip up this freezer dessert. The gracious members at Suzy-Q's Bakery Shoppe compiled a Bakery Shoppe cookbook that was self-published in 1999. Some of the best recipes were shared by group members and here is one of them. The recipe was submitted by Evelyn Hall.

Ingredients

  • 18 graham crackers, crushed
  • 15 saltine crackers, crushed
  • 1/2 cup (115g) butter
  • 2 packages instant vanilla pudding mix
  • 2 cups (475 ml) milk
  • 3 Butterfinger candy bars, crushed
  • Cool Whip

Steps

    Combine 1/2 of the crushed crackers with soft butter.

    Spray a 9 x 13-inch (23 x 33 cm) baking pan with nonstick cooking spray.

    Line the prepared pan with the cracker mixture.

    Whisk together pudding and milk. Pour over graham cracker mixture.

    Spread Cool Whip over top of pudding.

    Strew remaining crushed cracker mixture over Cool Whip.

  • Food processor, blender, rolling pin or heavy pan to crush crackers.
  • Mixing bowl
  • Mixing spoon
  • 9 x 13-inch (23 x 33 cm) pan
  • Plastic wrap or aluminum foil to cover dessert
