How to Make an Easy Low Calorie Dessert

This easy to make pie only requires 15 minutes of preparation time. You can hardly tell it's sugar free and low fat.

Ingredients

  • approximately 1 cup water for boiling
  • 1 box flavored gelatin
  • 1 tub fat free whipped topping
  • 2 small yogurts
  • 1 ready-to-use, reduced fat graham cracker pie crust (6 oz. or 9 in.)

Steps

    Boil approximately 1 cup of water.

    Pour gelatin mix into a large bowl.

    Pour boiling water into a measuring cup. Measure out 2/3 of a cup.

    Pour the boiling water into the large bowl, stirring it into the gelatin. Keep stirring until gelatin is completely dissolved, about 2 minutes.

    Add 2 cups of whipped topping and two small containers of yogurt. Stir in with wire whisk until well blended.

    Spoon mixture into pie crust.

    Refrigerate for 4 hours or until firm.

    Top with remaining whipped topping just before serving.

Tips

  • Mix up your flavors of gelatin and yogurt; mandarin orange, strawberry, key lime, there are lots of flavors to choose from! Try to get the same flavor yogurt as you do gelatin to really enhance the flavor.
  • Store leftover pie in the refrigerator.
  • Feel free to substitute regular Jello, graham cracker crust and whipped topping.
