How to Make Chocolate Meringue Cup

This chocolate meringue cup is a delicious dessert and the lighter the cheese used, the lighter the dessert.

Ingredients

  • 100g dark chocolate
  • 200g fromage frais or cream cheese (quark also works)
  • 6 tablespoons milk
  • 1 punnet of raspberries
  • 1 punnet of blueberries
  • A few cherries, cut into halves
  • 1 meringue, broken into small pieces

Steps

    Cut the dark chocolate into pieces. Melt the chocolate with the milk in the bain marie (double boiler).

    Remove from the heat once melted. Set aside to cool down slightly.

    Mix the fromage frais with the slightly cooled down melted chocolate. Mix well to combine.

    Pour even amounts of the chocolate cream into the four dessert glasses. As you pour it in, add the berries and meringue pieces into the glasses in layers.

    Sprinkle the cherry halves on the top. If wished, you can also grate some dark chocolate over the top for a chocolatey finish.
