How to Make Reduced Calorie Sweetened Condensed Milk

Here's a recipe that allows you to make your own sweetened condensed milk using Splenda. The recipe was adapted from an old Microwave Times recipes and makes enough for one standard can of sweetened condensed milk.

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup cold water
  • 1 1/4 cups dry milk
  • 3/4 cup Splenda granular sugar substitute

Steps

    Measure water into 2-cup glass microwave-safe measuring cup.

    Stir in dry milk until smooth. Do this gradually.

    Gradually add the Splenda and stir well.

    Microwave milk mixture on high uncovered 1/2 to 1 minute, or until milk is steaming hot. Do not cover the glass measuring cup when heating the mixture.
