How to Make Small Changes to Improve Your Life

Life isn't all sunshine and rainbows, is it? It never is. However, there are various things you can do that can change your life, or rather your lifestyle a little by little, daily, eventually making it a better life for you!

    Love yourself. Discover who you really are, and what you're made of, and what you're capable of. Try different things everyday, no matter how big or small a change they seem to make. Find out what it is that you love to do, and what lifts your mood. Avoid the things that seem to bring you down and spread negativity in your day.

    Appreciate your efforts, even if you fail. At least you gave it a shot! Keep trying, try harder and you'll see that your effort won't let you down. Never give up, because efforts are never wasted. Reward yourself by doing something you like, but only after you feel you've worked hard enough.

    Try and stay positive irrespective of the situation. Be optimistic and have a broad approach towards your life and daily routines. Everybody goes through a bad phase in life, but not everyone survives it smiling. Treat each day as a different challenge, set prior goals and stick to them.

    Write your thoughts. Record your observations. Keep a small diary and a pen wherever you go. Jot down whatever new you notice about a particular place, or even a new person you've met. Staying connected to what you've done will help you look at new things in a better way.

    Exercise. Regularly, if possible. Don't keep it for when you're forced to. Not only will exercise help you to stay physically fit, but it also helps in calming the mind, opening your thoughts and helping you think better. It doesn't necessarily have to be going to the gym. Go for a stroll once a day, stretch your limbs hourly, and eat good food.

    Make new friends. Talk to people, know more about what life is. Be an extrovert, but don't overdo it. Spread a smile wherever you go. Help people when you think it's necessary. Try and meet people who have similar interests as yours, so that you can have the same wavelength. Love immensely, and don't wait for it to come back to you. When the time is right, it will.

    Be kind. Don't go too harsh on yourself, and on others around you. Being mistreated as as bad as being ignored, probably even worse. Don't insult too much, control your anger, and help others in times of distress. Unleash the hidden child in you. It destresses and unclutters your mind of any adultery, and makes you feel innocent again.


  • Always have someone to talk to when you feel depressed or hurt about something. Talking to someone always makes it better, as a problem is better solved when there are two minds working on it rather than one.
  • Be patient and persistent in your effort. Nothing good happens overnight.
  • Be happy for who you are, because there's nobody else as wonderful as yourself. Don't try to be someone you're not, it will only end up bringing your self esteem down.
