How to Make Spiced Island Punch



This is a tasty non-alcoholic punch that will be a crowd-pleaser. This is ideal for late teen parties where alcohol cannot be served.

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 pints/750ml orange juice, fresh
  • 1 lemon, juice and pared rind
  • 1/2 tsp mixed spice
  • 3 1/2 oz/250ml pineapple juice (fresh or canned)
  • 1/2 tsp nutmeg, freshly grated
  • 6 cloves
  • 2 pints/1 litre ginger ale
  • Crushed ice

Steps

    Mix all of the ingredients together in a large bowl or jug.

    Place in the the refrigerator and chill well.

    Strain the chilled liquid.

    Add the ginger ale.

    Serve. Place crushed ice in the glasses that will be used for the punch.

Tips

  • This recipe will make around 10–15 glasses, or 5 pints/2.5 liters (0.7 US gal) of punch.
  • Add garnishes to the bowl or jug if wished.
