How to Repair Worn Out Jeans

Steps

    Gather fabric swatches, scissors, needle and thread. Cotton fabrics are a good choice for patching.

    Cut away any frayed edges within the hole of your jeans.

    Shape the hole into a circle, square, diamond or heart, if desired.

    Make a tight running stitch around the edge of the hole to prevent further fraying. Use thread that is the color of the jeans.

    Turn the jeans inside out.

    Cut a piece of fabric slightly larger than the hole.
