How to Take Pictures of Your Black Pet

If you have a black pet, or a pet with very dark colored hair, then you probably know how difficult it can be to take a good picture of your beloved friend. There are certain things that you can do to help make this process just a little easier. Here’s how.

    Take some experimental shots. Sometimes, your pet can surprise you and be able to take some good shots. Practice different lighting, angles, and scenery. Get down on the ground at their level. Try taking your furry friend outside to a park or nice grassy area. Look for colours that contrast with black. Bright colours work well.

    Zoom in on a feature. An expression or something of the sort that 'pops'.

Tips

  • Also having your back to the light will give more light on Fido or Feline and let their coat shine
  • Consider the eyes as your main point of focus.
  • Do not use the camera flash if you are close to the pet as it will hurt his eyes.
